The bill would direct the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) to conduct a suicide prevention campaign, establish a website to provide suicide prevention information about safely storing firearms, and collaborate with community-based, nonprofit, or private organizations to conduct the campaign. TVC could solicit and accept gifts and grants for the purpose of the campaign. This analysis assumes costs to implement the bill's provisions could be absorbed within existing resources.
