419 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
520 WHEREAS, The United States was established on principles of

722 for blessings and guidance as they worked to build an independent

924 WHEREAS, Millions of Americans are adherents of
1025 Christianity, and that religious heritage has played a significant
1126 role throughout our country's history; this influence is documented

1328 original state constitutions, and hundreds of state and federal
1429 court cases; and
1530 WHEREAS, Through the centuries, a host of major American
1631 historical figures have relied on Christian traditions, tenets, and
1732 values to guide their actions and have stressed the importance of
1833 those principles when addressing their fellow citizens; such
1934 individuals as George Washington, Abigail and John Adams, James
2035 Madison, Abraham Lincoln, Harry S. Truman, and Dwight D. Eisenhower
