8 | 8 | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by | |
10 | 10 | adding Section 36 to read as follows: | |
11 | 11 | Sec. 36. An individual has the unalienable and natural | |
12 | 12 | right to refuse a vaccination. The vaccination status of an | |
13 | 13 | individual may not be made a condition of employment, travel, | |
14 | 14 | school or other educational institution attendance, conducting | |
15 | 15 | business, receiving medical treatment, receiving governmental | |
16 | 16 | services, or any other action in this state. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
18 | 18 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 7, 2023. | |
19 | 19 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
20 | 20 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment recognizing the right | |
21 | 21 | of an individual to refuse a vaccination." |
