| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Members of Swear 2 Care are visiting Austin on April |

| 6 | 6 | | 11, 2023, to take part in Students Engaged in Advancing Texas Day at |

| 7 | 7 | | the State Capitol; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A support group founded in 2022 by Soha Jashwant, a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | student at Tompkins High School in Katy, Swear 2 Care plays a vital |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | role in raising awareness of the youth mental health crisis while |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | fostering greater understanding of therapy and other forms of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | assistance; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Under the direction of Ms. Jashwant and core team |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | leaders Regina Wu, Jiajun Chen, and Kailin Huang, the organization |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | is made up of members who pledge to care for the well-being of their |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | family, friends, and peers while also focusing on their own mental |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | health; moreover, they are dedicated to addressing urgent metal |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | health issues and place a special emphasis on such subjects as body |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | insecurity and cyberbullying that can be accelerated on social |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | media platforms; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The members of Swear 2 Care have set an inspiring |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | example of activism in behalf of their fellow students, and these |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | outstanding young Texans are truly deserving of special |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby recognize the Swear 2 Care organization on the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | occasion of Students Engaged in Advancing Texas Day at the State |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Capitol on April 11, 2023, and extend to all those associated with |

| 29 | 29 | | the group sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable visit |
