| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Catherine Gibb is being honored for her |

| 6 | 6 | | contributions to the Collin County Republican Party at an |

| 7 | 7 | | appreciation reception hosted by Plano Republican Women on |

| 8 | 8 | | April 14, 2023; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Actively engaged in politics, Catherine Gibb was |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | appointed primary election administrator for the Collin County GOP |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in 2006, and she has continued to hold that title for 17 years; in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | addition, she has served the organization as a precinct chair and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | vice chair; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Gibb has further distinguished herself as a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | member of Plano Republican Women, which she ably led during her |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | tenure as the longest-serving president in the group's history; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | under her skilled guidance, the club played an instrumental role in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | numerous election campaigns for Republican candidates at the local, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | state, and national levels; she has also served the Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Federation of Republican Women as district director of Senate |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | District 8, and her many achievements include receiving the TFRW 10 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Outstanding Award; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Gibb shared a rewarding marriage with her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | husband, the late Jim Gibb, that spanned more than three decades |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | before his passing in 2022; today, she takes great pride in her |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | stepsons, Michael and Matthew Gibb, and in her grandson, Hayden |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Gibb; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Through her exemplary leadership, Catherine Gibb |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | has contributed significantly to the success of the Republican |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Party in Collin County, and she has earned the lasting respect and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | admiration of all who are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
