| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A delegation of students from San Saba High School |

| 6 | 6 | | in the San Saba Independent School District is visiting the State |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Capitol on April 12, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The group includes seven outstanding young Texans |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | who are representing San Saba ISD, which has a total enrollment of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | nearly 700; during their visit, the participants will learn more |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | about the legislative process and deepen their sense of civic |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | engagement; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Currently in their senior year, the students in the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | delegation are all taking advanced placement or dual credit |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | classes; they have further distinguished themselves through their |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | involvement in a wide variety of other programs, including |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | athletics, band, teacher preparation, honors society, and spirit |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | organizations; in addition, they are planning to continue their |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | studies in college; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through their hard work and commitment to academic |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | excellence, the San Saba High School delegation participants have |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | brought great pride to their school and community, and they are |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | truly deserving of special recognition for their many |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby honor the students from San Saba High School on |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol and extend to them |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
