| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Guadalupe Ledezma of Houston is marking a |

| 6 | 6 | | significant event in her life on April 22, 2023, when she belatedly |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrates her quinceañera with family and friends; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Derived from the Spanish words "quince" and "años," |

| 9 | 9 | | meaning "15" and "years," the quinceañera is a traditional |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | celebration in Latin cultures that denotes a girl's passage into |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | adulthood at the age of 15; with roots tracing back to both |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Mesoamerica and the Iberian Peninsula, this custom continues to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | remain a meaningful and memorable milestone in a young woman's |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | life; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Born on April 22, 2005, Guadalupe Ledezma is the |

| 16 | 16 | | beloved daughter of Maria Cristina Perez and Agustin Ledezma and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the sister of Esmeralda Ledezma and Melissa Gisela Ledezma; she is a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | student at both Victory Early College High School and Lone Star |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | College, and she has further distinguished herself as a member of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the National Honor Society, the Science National Honor Society, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the Senior Club; the celebration of her quinceañera was delayed due |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to the pandemic; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Ledezma is a source of tremendous pride to her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | family, and it is a pleasure to join her loved ones in honoring her |

| 25 | 25 | | at this festive time; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Guadalupe Ledezma on the joyous |
