44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Barrow Brewing Company in Salado is celebrating the
66 seventh anniversary of its opening in 2023; and
77 WHEREAS, Founded in 2014, Barrow Brewing Company began
88 construction the following year; the building, which previously
99 housed the Silver Spur Theater and the pole barn granary for the
1010 Guest & Sandford Gin, underwent extensive renovations that
1111 increased sustainability while retaining the original knotty-pine
1212 walls; Barrow Brewing Company became the first microbrewery in Bell
1313 County when it opened its doors on April 1, 2016; and
1414 WHEREAS, The brewery has become a popular venue, hosting
1515 numerous weekly events, including the Salado Farmers Market,
1616 running and cycling meetups, trivia, and a yoga class; moreover, it
1717 frequently presents live music performances and has put on the
1818 Salado Springs Craft Beer Festival and the Northbound & Down music
1919 festival; and
2020 WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play an
2121 important role in furthering the economic well-being of towns
2222 throughout Texas, and all those associated with Barrow Brewing
2323 Company may take great pride in the contributions that the company
2424 has made to the Salado community; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2626 Legislature hereby commemorate the seventh anniversary of Barrow
2727 Brewing Company and extend to the brewery's owners and employees
2828 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for Barrow Brewing Company as an expression of high regard
3131 by the Texas House of Representatives.
