5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |

6 | 6 | | a close with the passing of Jeri Shirley Kolpack on March 20, 2023, |
---|
7 | 7 | | at the age of 85; and |
---|
8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of John and Minnie Page, the former |
---|
9 | 9 | | Jeri Page was born in Galveston on August 18, 1937; she was raised |
---|
10 | 10 | | in the Galveston and Houston areas, and she attended business |
---|
11 | 11 | | school in Austin; she adopted a son, Gregory, during her first |
---|
12 | 12 | | marriage to Dude Stelfox; after Mr. Stelfox's passing, she wed |
---|
13 | 13 | | Jerry Butler, with whom she co-owned the Embers club in Corpus |
---|
14 | 14 | | Christi; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Following the death of her second husband, she |
---|
16 | 16 | | married Arnold Kolpack in January 1978; a partner with Mr. Kolpack |
---|
17 | 17 | | in life as well as in business, Mrs. Kolpack managed commercial |
---|
18 | 18 | | real estate for her husband's company, Industrial Salvage; she was |
---|
19 | 19 | | a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and |
---|
20 | 20 | | great-grandmother, as well as a dear friend to many; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Kolpack sought opportunities to help others by |
---|
22 | 22 | | joining the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi and volunteering with the |
---|
23 | 23 | | local food bank; passionate about the arts, she enjoyed attending |
---|
24 | 24 | | the symphony with her granddaughter, Maegan, and she even performed |
---|
25 | 25 | | with the Corpus Christi Ballet's production of The Nutcracker in |
---|
26 | 26 | | 2004 and 2005; she brightened the days of everyone around her with |
---|
27 | 27 | | her vivacious personality, and she was also admired for her strong |
---|
28 | 28 | | will, her love of learning, and her devotion to her community; and |
---|
29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, the passage of time |
---|
30 | 30 | | will never diminish the joy and love that Jeri Kolpack brought into |
---|
31 | 31 | | the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it |
---|
32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
---|
33 | 33 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jeri Shirley |
---|
34 | 34 | | Kolpack and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her |
---|
35 | 35 | | family: to her sister, Molly Page Neugebauer; to her grandchildren, |
---|
36 | 36 | | Maegan Stelfox and Gage Johnston; to her great-granddaughter, |
---|
37 | 37 | | Peyton Stelfox; to her niece, Lynette, and nephew, Michael; and to |
---|
38 | 38 | | her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |

39 | 39 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

41 | 41 | | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jeri |
