44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
66 a close with the passing of Jeri Shirley Kolpack on March 20, 2023,
77 at the age of 85; and
88 WHEREAS, The daughter of John and Minnie Page, the former
99 Jeri Page was born in Galveston on August 18, 1937; she was raised
1010 in the Galveston and Houston areas, and she attended business
1111 school in Austin; she adopted a son, Gregory, during her first
1212 marriage to Dude Stelfox; after Mr. Stelfox's passing, she wed
1313 Jerry Butler, with whom she co-owned the Embers club in Corpus
1414 Christi; and
1515 WHEREAS, Following the death of her second husband, she
1616 married Arnold Kolpack in January 1978; a partner with Mr. Kolpack
1717 in life as well as in business, Mrs. Kolpack managed commercial
1818 real estate for her husband's company, Industrial Salvage; she was
1919 a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and
2020 great-grandmother, as well as a dear friend to many; and
2121 WHEREAS, Mrs. Kolpack sought opportunities to help others by
2222 joining the Rotary Club of Corpus Christi and volunteering with the
2323 local food bank; passionate about the arts, she enjoyed attending
2424 the symphony with her granddaughter, Maegan, and she even performed
2525 with the Corpus Christi Ballet's production of The Nutcracker in
2626 2004 and 2005; she brightened the days of everyone around her with
2727 her vivacious personality, and she was also admired for her strong
2828 will, her love of learning, and her devotion to her community; and
2929 WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, the passage of time
3030 will never diminish the joy and love that Jeri Kolpack brought into
3131 the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it
3232 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
3333 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jeri Shirley
3434 Kolpack and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her
3535 family: to her sister, Molly Page Neugebauer; to her grandchildren,
3636 Maegan Stelfox and Gage Johnston; to her great-granddaughter,
3737 Peyton Stelfox; to her niece, Lynette, and nephew, Michael; and to
3838 her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
3939 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4040 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
4141 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jeri
4242 Kolpack.
