H.R. No. 1160
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses contribute to
the economic and cultural vitality of the Lone Star State, and
Isidora Flower & Gift Shop is deserving of recognition for the
positive role it plays in the Houston community; and
WHEREAS, Located in the Rice Village Shopping Center, Isidora
Flower & Gift Shop offers custom-made flower orders and grab-and-go
fresh bouquets as well as a variety of gifts created by local and
international artisans; the shop also provides flowers for special
events and weddings; and
WHEREAS, The owner, Thalia Jaguande, moved to Houston from
Peru in 2013 in order to receive medical treatment; embracing her
new community, she went on to earn her master's degree and opened
Isidora Flower & Gift Shop in September 2021; and
WHEREAS, Isidora Flower & Gift Shop has won the loyalty of
area residents while providing valued services, and Thalia Jaguande
may take great pride in making the shop a welcome addition to the
Houston business community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize Isidora Flower & Gift Shop and extend
to Thalia Jaguande and her staff sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the shop as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
