44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Parker J. Nickerson has ably served his fellow
66 Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda
77 Jones during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Nickerson has provided
99 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1010 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1111 service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
1212 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1313 WHEREAS, Mr. Nickerson is currently enrolled as a student at
1414 The University of Texas at Austin; during his time at the Capitol,
1515 he has contributed to the success of Representative Jones's
1616 legislative agenda through his research and analysis of complex
1717 public health policy issues and his assistance with drafting
1818 legislation, and he has also provided critical support to lawmakers
1919 in other areas; and
2020 WHEREAS, Parker Nickerson has performed his duties as a
2121 legislative aide with great skill and diligence, and through his
2222 dedication to helping improve public health and uphold the values
2323 of our democracy, he has earned the respect and admiration of all
2424 who have had the pleasure of working with him; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2626 Legislature hereby commend Parker J. Nickerson for his service as a
2727 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda
2828 Jones and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in
2929 all his endeavors; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Mr. Nickerson as an expression of high regard by the
3232 Texas House of Representatives.
