44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
66 of Jerry Wayne Ivey, who passed away on May 3, 2019, at the age of
77 77; and
88 WHEREAS, Jerry Ivey was the son of Carroll and Dorothea Ivey,
99 and he grew up with a brother, Robert, and a sister, Carol; and
1010 WHEREAS, In the course of his rewarding career as an
1111 educator, Mr. Ivey worked at a number of school districts,
1212 including the Sierra Blanca, Culberson County-Allamoore, Socorro,
1313 and Ysleta Independent School Districts; he retired from Ysleta ISD
1414 as a vocational administrator; and
1515 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ivey enjoyed the love and
1616 support of his wife, Jean, and he took great pride in their
1717 children, Debbie and Wayne; with the passing years, he had the
1818 pleasure of welcoming into his family numerous grandchildren and
1919 great-grandchildren; and
2020 WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured
2121 man's love and friendship will always remember him with great
2222 admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2424 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jerry Wayne Ivey and
2525 extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family; and, be it
2626 further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2929 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jerry Ivey.
