| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dell Children's Medical Center is hosting a grand |

| 6 | 6 | | opening celebration for its new North Campus in Austin on April 12, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Part of Ascension Texas, the new campus will |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | collaborate with The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | School and UT Health Austin to provide a wide range of pediatric |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | services, including neurology, surgery, and pulmonology, among |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | many others; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Opening to the public on April 27, this four-story |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | medical center spans more than 187,000 square feet and features 36 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | inpatient beds as well as operating rooms, endoscopy and procedure |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | rooms, and an emergency department offering Level III trauma care; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the hospital operations will be supported by an on-site blood bank, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | laboratory, and pediatric-friendly imaging rooms, and patients and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | their families will also have access to a Ronald McDonald suite |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | complete with a lounge, kitchen, and bedrooms; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, Dell Children's Medical Center has |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | earned a reputation as a leading health care provider in Central |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Texas, and the new North Campus is certain to be an invaluable |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | resource to the community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the grand opening of Dell Children's |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Medical Center North Campus and extend to all those associated with |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | the hospital sincere best wishes for continued success with their |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | important work; and, be it further |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 31 | 31 | | prepared for the hospital as an expression of high regard by the |
|---|
