H.R. No. 1316
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dylan Winzer, a senior at East Chambers High School,
has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Ottawa
University in Kansas; and
WHEREAS, This accomplished young athlete was a three-year
letterman for the Bucs and helped the team record an 85-15 record
and capture three district championships; over the course of his
high school career, he tallied 1,270 points and 640 rebounds and was
selected to the 2021-2022 All-District first team in addition to
garnering an Academic All-State honorable mention accolade for the
2022-2023 season; and
WHEREAS, The son of Lloyd and Rachel Winzer, Dylan Winzer ran
on the East Chambers cross country team and was an Academic
All-State honoree in that sport as well; in addition to playing on
the Bucs' football and baseball teams, he excelled as a member of
the track squad, qualifying for the regional meet three times; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and
perseverance, Dylan Winzer is a source of great pride to his school
and community, and he is poised for further success as he looks
ahead to his collegiate athletic career; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dylan Winzer on signing a letter of
intent to play basketball at Ottawa University and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Winzer as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
