| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dylan Winzer, a senior at East Chambers High School, |

| 6 | 6 | | has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Ottawa |

| 7 | 7 | | University in Kansas; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, This accomplished young athlete was a three-year |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | letterman for the Bucs and helped the team record an 85-15 record |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and capture three district championships; over the course of his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | high school career, he tallied 1,270 points and 640 rebounds and was |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | selected to the 2021-2022 All-District first team in addition to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | garnering an Academic All-State honorable mention accolade for the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 2022-2023 season; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The son of Lloyd and Rachel Winzer, Dylan Winzer ran |

| 16 | 16 | | on the East Chambers cross country team and was an Academic |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | All-State honoree in that sport as well; in addition to playing on |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the Bucs' football and baseball teams, he excelled as a member of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the track squad, qualifying for the regional meet three times; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | perseverance, Dylan Winzer is a source of great pride to his school |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and community, and he is poised for further success as he looks |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | ahead to his collegiate athletic career; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dylan Winzer on signing a letter of |

| 26 | 26 | | intent to play basketball at Ottawa University and extend to him |
