| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Chambers County was honored with a 2022 Excellence |

| 6 | 6 | | in Safety Award from Texas Association of Counties; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Excellence in Safety Award is presented to |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | member counties and governmental entities that demonstrate a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | commitment to developing and improving safety and loss control |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | programs and to controlling claims costs; honorees, which are |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | chosen from among participants in the TAC Risk Management Pool |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Workers Compensation Program, must fulfill a set of criteria |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | designed to ensure the efficacy of their workers' safety programs, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | policies, and training methods; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Recognized for its commitment to implementing and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | improving workplace safety measures, Chambers County was one of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | only 11 counties across Texas to win a TAC Excellence in Safety |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Award for 2022; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Safety should be the highest priority of any |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | organization, and by successfully meeting the criteria outlined by |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | TAC, Chambers County has set a commendable example for other |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | communities throughout the state and nation; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Chambers County on its receipt of a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 2022 Excellence in Safety Award from the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Counties and extend sincere appreciation to all those who helped |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | secure this recognition; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
