| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joining the nation's top gymnasts from April 6 |

| 10 | 10 | | through 8 at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Ms. Brochi |

| 11 | 11 | | delivered an exceptional performance, scoring a 9.800 in floor |

| 12 | 12 | | exercise and a 9.775 in vault, uneven bars, and balance beam; her |

| 13 | 13 | | final score of 39.125 clinched the all-around gold medal, and she |

| 14 | 14 | | was also selected as a First-Team All-American in the all-around, |

| 15 | 15 | | balance beam, and uneven bars and a Second-Team All-American in the |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Brochi is a sophomore member of the U.S. Air |

| 18 | 18 | | Force Academy women's gymnastics team; her strong showing earlier |

| 19 | 19 | | in the 2023 season earned her recognition as a Mountain Pacific |

| 20 | 20 | | Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week in February; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Velandra Brochi has proven herself one of the |

| 22 | 22 | | premier college gymnasts in the country, and she may indeed reflect |

| 23 | 23 | | with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Velandra Brochi on winning the |

| 26 | 26 | | all-around title at the 2023 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate |
