H.R. No. 1328 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Words cannot fully express the sorrow felt by the family and friends of Zoe Angelinh Peterson of Round Rock, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 8; and WHEREAS, Born on January 28, 2015, Zoe Peterson was the cherished daughter of Matt and Nga Peterson; despite the medical challenges she faced from her Trisomy 18 diagnosis, this precious little girl exuded hope and joy in all her endeavors; she loved receiving big bear hugs from her brother, snuggling with her dad, and singing along with her mom's personalized cheers; she also enjoyed reading books with her "Grammy" and learning Vietnamese songs with her "Ba"; and WHEREAS, A social butterfly who was always on the go, Zoe was a first grade student at Caldwell Heights Elementary School; she was blessed with a sunny smile and a terrific sense of humor, and one of her favorite activities was attending Sunday Mass with her entire family at St. John Vianney Catholic Church; and WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too soon, Zoe Peterson inspired everyone around her with her tremendous grace and determination, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Zoe Angelinh Peterson and extend deepest condolences to the members of her family: to her parents, Matt and Nga "Nye" Peterson; to her brother, Lucas Peterson; to her maternal grandmother, Nghi Nguyen; to her paternal grandmother, Karen Peterson; to her uncle, Andrew Peterson; to her godparents, Thanh Nguyen and Hanh Nguyen; and to her many other relatives; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Zoe Peterson.
