| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Linda Alvarado Blanco |

| 6 | 6 | | of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her passing on April 3, 2023, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at the age of 70; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Linda Blanco was born to Dorothy and Rogelio Blanco |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | in Round Rock on April 3, 1953, and she grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship of her sister, Gloria; she graduated from Round Rock |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | High School in 1971; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Ms. Blanco worked for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Meridell Achievement Center in Jollyville and The Nelson Children's |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Residential Center through Lutheran Social Services in Denton; she |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | retired from Proscape Landscaping after many years of service; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Blanco was a member of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447 and held a number of officer |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | positions; moreover, she was a lifetime parishioner of Saint |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | William Catholic Church; in her leisure time, she enjoyed spending |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | time with her family and friends; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Admired for her warm and caring nature and radiant |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | smile, Linda Blanco brightened the world for all who knew her, and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Linda Alvarado |

| 27 | 27 | | Blanco and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: |

| 28 | 28 | | to her mother, Dorothy Blanco; to her sister, Gloria Vallejo, and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | her husband, Adolfo; to her nephew, Rogelio Orlando Vallejo, and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | his wife, Leshelle; to her niece, Linda Adrianna V. Vasquez; to her |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | great-nephews, Adolfo Jacob Vallejo, Thayer Scott Vallejo, and |

| 32 | 32 | | Alister Lee Vallejo; and to her many other relatives and friends; |
