| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The only 5A team from the Rio Grande Valley to reach |

| 10 | 10 | | the state tournament in 2023, the Rattlers embarked on their |

| 11 | 11 | | journey by tying for first place in District 31-5A; Sharyland |

| 12 | 12 | | continued to excel in the playoffs, recording commanding wins over |

| 13 | 13 | | Brownsville Veterans Memorial, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, |

| 14 | 14 | | Brownsville Porter, and San Antonio Southwest High Schools; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Sharyland faced Rouse High School in the regional |

| 16 | 16 | | finals and trailed 1-0 in the second half; retaining their |

| 17 | 17 | | composure, the Rattlers answered with two goals of their own and |

| 18 | 18 | | sealed the 2-1 outcome on the strength of their defense to qualify |
