| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Working in sync with his horse, Gump, Mr. Fisher |

| 11 | 11 | | claimed his first career gold buckle by finishing atop the PRCA |

| 12 | 12 | | world standings with $123,477 in earnings; he arrived at NFSR in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | fifth place, and he reached the pinnacle with an impressive showing |

| 14 | 14 | | that included winning Rounds 5 and 10, placing in six other rounds, |

| 15 | 15 | | and finishing third in the average on nine head; his final earnings |

| 16 | 16 | | tally of $64,575 was the highest at the event; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Fisher has 10 NFSR qualifications under his belt |

| 19 | 19 | | Pro Rodeo in Fredonia, Kansas, the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Pro |

| 20 | 20 | | Rodeo in Henryetta, Oklahoma, and the West Texas Fair & Rodeo in |

| 21 | 21 | | Abilene; he is a graduate of Texas Tech University and works as an |

| 22 | 22 | | independent petroleum land man and rancher in addition to pursuing |

| 23 | 23 | | his rodeo career; and |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, J. Tom Fisher is a source of great pride to his |

| 25 | 25 | | family and community, and his world championship victory has |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | furthered the Lone Star State's reputation for rodeo excellence; |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
