| 7 | 7 | | High School Film Festival, and his selection provides a welcome |

| 8 | 8 | | opportunity to recognize this esteemed educator; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, AAHSFF is the world's largest high school film |

| 10 | 10 | | festival, offering a stage for the next generation of talented |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | filmmakers and media arts enthusiasts from around the world; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Mr. Logan was named the top teacher at the 2022 competition, and his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | students took home prizes in brand marketing challenge and podcast |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and were nominated for awards in the complete experience, action |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | sports, and broadcast journalism categories; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas and a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | former touring engineer, Mr. Logan has taught audio and video |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | production at Prosper ISD for nearly eight years; he is a leader in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the department and serves as an inspiring mentor for his students, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | hoping to instill in them a passion for filmmaking; over the years, |

| 21 | 21 | | his students have garnered countless honors such as the Lone Star |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Emmy Awards, University Interscholastic Awards, and National |

| 23 | 23 | | Student Production awards, and the Prosper High School program |

| 24 | 24 | | received the 2021-2022 Association of Texas Photography |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Instructors Top Video Program; and |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Michael Logan exemplifies the enthusiasm, |

| 27 | 27 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 28 | 28 | | best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |

| 29 | 29 | | in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Logan on his selection as |

| 32 | 32 | | the 2022 All-American High School Film Festival Teacher of the Year |
