| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jayce Carmelo Luevanos of Uvalde passed away on May |

| 6 | 6 | | 24, 2022, at the age of 10, and memories of this vibrant and caring |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | young boy will forever endure in the hearts of those who knew and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | loved him; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Jayce Luevanos was born in Uvalde on February 2, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 2012, to Christina Quiroz and Jose E. Luevanos; he enjoyed the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | companionship of his three brothers, Jose, Chance, and Corey, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | his sister, Justine; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Energetic and full of life, Jayce often brought |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | other children from the neighborhood over to his home for |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | rambunctious playdates in the backyard; cherished by his parents |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and siblings, he was also a devoted grandson who would wake up to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | brew his grandparents, Carmelo and Sylvia Quiroz, a pot of coffee |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | each morning; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Although the tragic passing of Jayce Luevanos is an |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | immeasurable loss to the many people who held him dear, they may |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | find comfort in knowing that their lives have been forever enriched |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | by the love, laughter, and joy that he shared with them; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jayce Carmelo |

| 26 | 26 | | Luevanos and extend profound condolences to the members of his |

| 27 | 27 | | family: to his parents, Christina Quiroz and Jose E. Luevanos; to |
