| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The family and friends of Maite Yuleana Rodriguez of |

| 6 | 6 | | Uvalde suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of this |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | cherished young girl on May 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez was born in Uvalde on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | November 17, 2011, to Ana Isabel and Adrean Rodriguez; her circle |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of loved ones included her brothers, Adrean, Caleb, and Leo, as well |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | as many other relatives who all adored her; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Sweet-natured, kind, and gracious, Maite was an |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | honor roll student who enjoyed learning about animals, especially |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | aquatic life; she was also dedicated to achieving her goals, and she |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | had set her sights on enrolling at Texas A&M University-Corpus |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Christi on her way to becoming a marine biologist; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez touched the lives of everyone around |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | her in ways beyond measure, and they will forever keep her memory |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Maite Yuleana |

| 22 | 22 | | Rodriguez and extend deepest condolences to the members of her |

| 23 | 23 | | family: to her mother, Ana Isabel Rodriguez; to her father, Adrean |

| 24 | 24 | | Rodriguez; to her grandparents, Jeronimo and Gloria Coronado and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Pedro and Adreana Rodriguez; to her brothers, Adrean, Caleb, and |

| 26 | 26 | | Leo Rodriguez; to her aunts, Maria Coronado and Barbara Rodriguez; |
