55 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the deep sorrow felt
66 at the loss of Jailah Nicole Silguero of Uvalde, who passed away on
77 May 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and
88 WHEREAS, Born in Uvalde on September 19, 2011, Jailah
99 Silguero was the beloved daughter of Veronica Luevanos and Jacob
1010 Silguero, and she also enjoyed the affection of her brother, Ethan,
1111 and her two sisters, Nazarea and Khloe; and
1212 WHEREAS, Active and energetic, Jailah was fond of dancing,
1313 riding her skateboard and her bicycle, spending time outdoors, and
1414 playing with her cousins; she had a cheerful disposition and a
1515 caring heart for others, especially younger children; and
1616 WHEREAS, Although Jailah Silguero's time on this earth was
1717 far too brief, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of
1818 all those who were blessed to share in her love and affection; now,
1919 therefore, be it
2020 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2121 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jailah Nicole
2222 Silguero and extend deepest condolences to the members of her
2323 family: to her parents, Veronica Luevanos and Jacob Silguero; to
2424 her siblings, Ethan, Nazarea, and Khloe Silguero; to her other
2525 relatives and friends; and to the countless others in Uvalde and
2626 beyond who mourn her passing; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
2929 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jailah
3030 Nicole Silguero.
