6 | 6 | | loved ones of Eliahna Torres of Uvalde, who passed away on May 24, |

8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Uvalde on January 12, 2012, to Eli and Sandra |

9 | 9 | | Torres, Eliahna Torres was blessed with the companionship of her |

10 | 10 | | sisters, Justice and Eliza, and her brothers, Eli and Dylan; her |
---|
11 | 11 | | extended family included her grandparents, her nieces and nephews, |
---|
12 | 12 | | and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and she also benefited from |
---|
13 | 13 | | the love and support of numerous people in the wider community; and |
---|
14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A vibrant girl with a radiant smile, Eliahna enjoyed |

15 | 15 | | being silly and making everyone laugh; she had developed a |
---|
16 | 16 | | compassionate and nurturing nature that set her apart at such a |

17 | 17 | | young age, and she was always putting the needs of others ahead of |
---|
18 | 18 | | her own; she was also a promising softball player who was vying for |

19 | 19 | | a spot on her city's all-star team; and |

20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too |

21 | 21 | | soon, Eliahna Torres touched the lives of those around her in ways |

22 | 22 | | beyond measure, and she will forever hold a special place in their |

23 | 23 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |

24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eliahna Torres and |

26 | 26 | | extend deepest condolences to the members of her family: to her |

27 | 27 | | parents, Sandra and Eli Torres; to her siblings, Justice Montes and |
