| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Miroslava Ruiz Sanchez of El Paso Community College |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The EPCC Student Government Association acts as the |

| 9 | 9 | | voice of the student body to the college administration, with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | elected members representing the interests and concerns of their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization also |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | provides leadership and professional development opportunities as |

| 13 | 13 | | participants strive to improve the school's social and educational |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the EPCC Student |

| 17 | 17 | | administration, faculty, staff, and community organizations; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable |

| 20 | 20 | | develop a solid educational foundation for future achievement, and |

| 21 | 21 | | Miroslava Ruiz Sanchez is indeed worthy of recognition; now, |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commend Miroslava Ruiz Sanchez for her service |
