| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Armando Baca of El Paso Community College has |

| 7 | 7 | | president of the Student Government Association; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The EPCC Student Government Association acts as the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | voice of the student body to the college administration, with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | elected members representing the interests and concerns of their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization also |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | provides leadership and professional development opportunities as |

| 13 | 13 | | participants strive to improve the school's social and educational |

| 14 | 14 | | experience; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the EPCC Student |

| 17 | 17 | | administration, faculty, staff, and community organizations; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable |

| 19 | 19 | | role in supporting El Paso Community College students as they |

| 20 | 20 | | develop a solid educational foundation for future achievement, and |

| 21 | 21 | | Armando Baca is indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend Armando Baca for his service as vice |

| 24 | 24 | | president of the Student Government Association at El Paso |

| 25 | 25 | | Community College and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
