55 WHEREAS, Matthew Ramirez of Texas Tech University Health
66 Sciences Center El Paso has greatly benefited his fellow students
77 through his service as vice president of finance of the Student
88 Government Association; and
99 WHEREAS, The TTUHSC El Paso Student Government Association
1010 acts as the voice of the student body to the college administration,
1111 with elected members representing the interests and concerns of
1212 their peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization
1313 also provides leadership and professional development
1414 opportunities as participants strive to improve the school's social
1515 and educational experience; and
1616 WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the TTUHSC El
1717 Paso Student Government Association facilitates communication
1818 between students, administration, faculty, staff, and community
1919 organizations; and
2020 WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable
2121 role in supporting Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El
2222 Paso students as they develop a solid educational foundation for
2323 future achievement, and Matthew Ramirez is indeed worthy of
2424 recognition; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2626 Legislature hereby commend Matthew Ramirez for his service as vice
2727 president of finance of the Student Government Association at Texas
2828 Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and extend to him
2929 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Mr. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the
3232 Texas House of Representatives.
