| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Emily M. Doan has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Doan has provided vital |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | conducting legislative research and communicating with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | constituents; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Doan is currently on the pre-law track at The |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | degree in government with a minor in sociology and has earned |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | placement on the dean's honor list; active in her campus community, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | she is involved with Innovations for Peace and Development, Phi |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Delta Phi, the Texas Business Law Association, and the Vietnamese |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Student Association, and she also finds time to volunteer with |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Change 1; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Emily M. Doan for her service as a |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton |

| 29 | 29 | | and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
