44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Emily M. Doan has ably served her fellow Texans as an
66 aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during the
77 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Doan has provided vital
99 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
1010 conducting legislative research and communicating with
1111 constituents; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
1212 field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
1313 process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1414 WHEREAS, Ms. Doan is currently on the pre-law track at The
1515 University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's
1616 degree in government with a minor in sociology and has earned
1717 placement on the dean's honor list; active in her campus community,
1818 she is involved with Innovations for Peace and Development, Phi
1919 Delta Phi, the Texas Business Law Association, and the Vietnamese
2020 Student Association, and she also finds time to volunteer with
2121 Change 1; and
2222 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2323 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
2424 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2525 therefore, be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby commend Emily M. Doan for her service as a
2828 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton
2929 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
3030 her endeavors; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Ms. Doan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
