| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lauren Wilson has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 6 | | an intern in the office of State Representative Charles Cunningham |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wilson has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of tasks, such as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | conducting legislative research, corresponding with constituents, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and taking meetings; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Timothy and Heather Wilson, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Ms. Wilson is a freshman at The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | she is currently pursuing a double major in government and Spanish |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | with a minor in public policy; in recognition of her many scholastic |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | achievements, she received the AP Scholar with Distinction award |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | from the College Board in 2021 and 2022, and she was named Student |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | of the Year by her high school's Honors Biology Department; after |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | graduating from college, she plans to pursue a career in public |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | policy with a focus on sustainability and environmental regulation; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 28 | 28 | | therefore, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby commend Lauren Wilson for her service as a |

| 31 | 31 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles |

| 32 | 32 | | Cunningham and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
