| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Eric Craven of Austin retired as senior vice |

| 7 | 7 | | Electric Cooperatives, Inc., in January 2022, drawing to a close an |

| 8 | 8 | | exceptional career with the organization that spanned more than |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A proud graduate of The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Austin, Mr. Craven began his career with Texas Electric |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Cooperatives in 1990; TEC, which has been in operation since 1941, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | advocates for the interests of 67 distribution and 9 generation and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | transmission electric cooperatives in the state; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Mr. Craven worked to advance |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | sound public policy impacting member-owned and member-governed |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | electric providers; his success in that endeavor furthered the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | cooperatives' ultimate goal of providing essential electric and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | telecommunications services to communities across the state, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | enhancing the quality of life of many rural Texans; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Eric Craven earned the lasting respect of his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | colleagues through the dedication, integrity, and commitment to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | excellence that he brought to his work with TEC, and his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | contributions will be remembered and appreciated for many years to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | come; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Eric Craven for his dedicated service |
