 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived remain to comfort the
 family and friends of Alfred Eugene Hagan, who passed away on April
 10, 2023, at the age of 83; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Eugene Hagan and Anna Dais Hagan, Alfred
 Hagan was born on December 6, 1939, in Mobile, Alabama; he attended
 St. Peter Claver Grade School and Most Pure Heart of Mary High
 School and continued his education at Xavier University of
 Louisiana; he later moved to Houston, where he enrolled at Texas
 Southern University; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Hagan was drafted into the U.S. Army, and
 following his tour of duty, he received an honorable discharge; he
 subsequently began a rewarding career with the City of Houston and
 retired from the city after many years of service; and
 WHEREAS, A skilled athlete, Mr. Hagan played many sports
 during his youth, and he embraced tennis as an adult, earning the
 nickname "Chip & Dip" for his distinctive playing style; and
 WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Hagan took great pride in his
 daughter, Kenah, and with the passing years, he had the pleasure of
 welcoming a granddaughter, Kayden, into the family; and
 WHEREAS, Alfred Hagan will be deeply missed, and those who
 were privileged to share in his love and friendship will always
 remember him with great admiration and affection; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Alfred Eugene Hagan
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
 daughter, Kenah Hagan; to his granddaughter, Kayden Johnson; and to
 his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Alfred
 Hagan.
