 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Wilfred Dean Anthony of
 Dallas were deeply saddened by his passing on March 31, 2023, at the
 age of 82; and
 WHEREAS, The son of David and Gladys Anthony, Wilfred Anthony
 was born in Dallas on May 17, 1940, and he grew up with the
 companionship of his twin sister, Mildred, and five other siblings,
 George, David, Joe, Obenna, and Mary; he graduated from Lincoln
 High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in pharmacy
 from Texas Southern University; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Anthony began his long and rewarding career as a
 pharmacist at Parkland Hospital and Walgreens; he eventually opened
 his own business, Dr. Deano's Pharmacy, in South Dallas, where he
 distinguished himself through his dedication to his customers;
 active in his community, he gave generously of his time and talents
 to the Texas Southern University National Alumni Association and
 the Dallas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Anthony was the proud father of two children,
 Alicia and NaKiiveun, and in his leisure time, he enjoyed playing
 golf, practicing karate, and traveling; in addition, he was a
 valued member of St. Anthony Catholic Church; and
 WHEREAS, Although Wilfred Anthony will be greatly missed, he
 has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories they will
 forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Wilfred Dean Anthony
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
 daughter, Alicia Anthony; to his son, NaKiiveun Anthony; to his
 sisters, Mildred VanZandt and Mary Watkin and her husband, Milton;
 to his sister-in-law, Vehester Galbreath; to his brother-in-law,
 James Hartford; to his nephews and nieces; and to his many other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Wilfred
 Anthony.
