| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has ably served his fellow Texans |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | as an intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. McKiernan has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. McKiernan is currently pursuing a double major |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in government and economics at The University of Texas at Austin; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | before moving to Texas, he attended high school in Massachusetts, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | where he served as an intern for a state representative and two |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | candidates for public office; he was a member of the Sons of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | American Legion in San Antonio, and he currently benefits his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | fellow students as secretary of the College Republicans at Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and as president and elected senator of the BRP Residence Hall |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Council; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 25 | 25 | | be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Andrew McKiernan for his service as a |

| 29 | 29 | | Leo-Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
