44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has ably served his fellow Texans
66 as an intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson
77 during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. McKiernan has provided
99 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1010 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1111 service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
1212 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1313 WHEREAS, Mr. McKiernan is currently pursuing a double major
1414 in government and economics at The University of Texas at Austin;
1515 before moving to Texas, he attended high school in Massachusetts,
1616 where he served as an intern for a state representative and two
1717 candidates for public office; he was a member of the Sons of the
1818 American Legion in San Antonio, and he currently benefits his
1919 fellow students as secretary of the College Republicans at Texas
2020 and as president and elected senator of the BRP Residence Hall
2121 Council; and
2222 WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has performed his duties as a
2323 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
2424 deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
2525 be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby commend Andrew McKiernan for his service as a
2828 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri
2929 Leo-Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
3030 success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Mr. McKiernan as an expression of high regard by the
3333 Texas House of Representatives.
