| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jaren Tankersley has ably served his fellow Texans |

| 6 | 6 | | as legislative director in the office of State Representative Terri |

| 7 | 7 | | Leo-Wilson during the 88th Legislature; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Tankersley's resourcefulness and initiative |

| 9 | 9 | | have earned the appreciation of his colleagues, and his |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | contributions to carrying forth Representative Leo-Wilson's |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | legislative agenda have helped address issues facing citizens |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | across the Lone Star State; in addition to conducting research and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | analysis on legislation and policies, he has helped coordinate |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | communication with other agencies, written reports and briefing |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | materials, and managed four legislative interns; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Tankersley is a senior at The University of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Texas at Austin, and he has previously served as a copywriter for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RedRock Strategies, as an intern with the Texas Public Policy |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Foundation, and as a field representative for Merus Strategies in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Florida; in addition, he completed a legislative internship in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | office of State Representative John Smithee; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
