H.R. No. 1484
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Karina Lucio has ably served her fellow Texans as an
intern in the office of State Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra
during the 88th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lucio has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including corresponding and arranging meetings with stakeholders
and drafting research and talking points for bills and committee
hearings; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field
of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lucio is interning for Representative Guerra as
part of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Legislative
Internship Program; she is currently pursuing a political science
degree with a minor in English, and she has plans to attend law
school after graduation; and
WHEREAS, Karina Lucio has performed her duties as a
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Karina Lucio for her service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative R. D.
"Bobby" Guerra and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Lucio as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
