| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Alejandro Talamantes Martinez has distinguished |

| 6 | 6 | | himself in his responsibilities as an intern in the office of State |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra during the 88th Legislative |

| 8 | 8 | | Session; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Martinez has provided |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | including meeting with stakeholders and conducting research for |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | bills and committee work; in addition to gaining valuable |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Martinez is a senior at The University of Texas |

| 17 | 17 | | at Austin, where he is studying international relations, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | government, and anthropology, and he is a participant in the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation's Moreno/Rangel |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislative Leadership Program; following his graduation, he plans |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | to return to his hometown of San Antonio to serve in local |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | government; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Alejandro Talamantes Martinez has performed his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Alejandro Talamantes Martinez for his |
