| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Karissa Rodriguez has distinguished herself in her |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as a committee clerk for the Resolutions Calendars |

| 7 | 7 | | Committee and its chair, State Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Rodriguez has provided |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | which have included supporting Representative Guerra in his role as |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | chair of the Resolutions Calendars Committee, as well as analyzing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | bills, conducting research, and working on resolutions and talking |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | points; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | public service, she has learned more about the legislative process |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez earned her bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | public administration from Texas State University in 2021, and she |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | is currently pursuing a master's degree at The University of Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs; she previously worked as a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | licensing manager for the Texas Executive Council of Physical |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Karissa Rodriguez has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | committee clerk with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
