| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Five interns from Tarleton State University, the |

| 6 | 6 | | crown jewel of the Texas A&M University System, are providing |

| 7 | 7 | | valuable support to the Texas Legislature during the 88th |

| 8 | 8 | | Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since the establishment of its internship program in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 2010, Tarleton State University has sent numerous students to the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | State Capitol, where they handle a wide variety of challenging |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | tasks while gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | service and learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; current Tarleton |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | interns are Desirae Garcia, Emilie Gaucin-Rodarte, Walker Kirk, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Olivia Lasater, and Kiara Owen; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, These outstanding young people are performing their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | duties with skill and dedication, and they are indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | special recognition for their fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby recognize the 2023 Tarleton State University |

| 22 | 22 | | legislative interns and extend to them sincere best wishes for |

| 23 | 23 | | continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it further |
