| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Courtney A. Doucet has ably served her fellow Texans |

| 6 | 6 | | as an intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne Davis |

| 7 | 7 | | during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Doucet has provided vital |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | researching bills, drafting constituent correspondence, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | monitoring the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Jurisprudence; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Doucet is a student at the Thurgood Marshall |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | School of Law at Texas Southern University, and she is set to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | graduate in May 2023; she earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | University, and she previously worked on the campaign for Houston |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | mayor Sylvester Turner's reelection and as a reporter for the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Baylor Lariat; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 25 | 25 | | be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Courtney A. Doucet for her service as a |

| 29 | 29 | | Davis and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in |
