44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Courtney A. Doucet has ably served her fellow Texans
66 as an intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne Davis
77 during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas
99 Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Doucet has provided vital
1010 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
1111 researching bills, drafting constituent correspondence, and
1212 monitoring the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil
1313 Jurisprudence; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
1414 field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
1515 process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1616 WHEREAS, Ms. Doucet is a student at the Thurgood Marshall
1717 School of Law at Texas Southern University, and she is set to
1818 graduate in May 2023; she earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor
1919 University, and she previously worked on the campaign for Houston
2020 mayor Sylvester Turner's reelection and as a reporter for the
2121 Baylor Lariat; and
2222 WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
2323 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2424 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2525 be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby commend Courtney A. Doucet for her service as a
2828 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne
2929 Davis and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in
3030 all her endeavors; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Ms. Doucet as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
