44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche has received a 2023
66 Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center Region 2
77 at its Outstanding Women in Education event on March 29; and
88 WHEREAS, Dr. Richardson-Guartuche currently serves as
99 director for innovative approaches to literacy for the Education
1010 Service Center Region 2, where she has been employed for the past
1111 two years; and
1212 WHEREAS, In 2021, the ESC-2 was the recipient of a Project
1313 LEARN IT grant by the U.S. Department of Education to remodel 54
1414 qualifying campuses over a three-year period;
1515 Dr. Richardson-Guartuche has been instrumental in the successful
1616 implementation of processes and protocols as a result of the grant
1717 funding that have helped improve library designs and promote
1818 literacy in the center's service area; and
1919 WHEREAS, Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche has set an
2020 outstanding example of leadership and dedication to which others
2121 may aspire, and she is indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor;
2222 now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2424 Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Kandee Richardson-Guartuche on
2525 her receipt of a 2023 Women in Education Award from the Education
2626 Service Center Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for
2727 continued success in her important work; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Dr. Richardson-Guartuche as an expression of high
3030 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
