| 8 | 8 | | trailblazing professional basketball player Nat Clifton; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Written and directed by Martin Guigui, the biopic |

| 10 | 10 | | tells the story of Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton and his journey from |

| 11 | 11 | | playing for the Harlem Globetrotters to becoming one of the first |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Black players to join the NBA when he signed a contract with the New |

| 13 | 13 | | York Knicks in 1950; Mr. Osborne is joined in the cast by Cary |

| 14 | 14 | | Elwes, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Pollak, Richard Dreyfuss, Jim Caviezel, |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Everett Osborne has achieved great distinction on |

| 27 | 27 | | the hardwood and the silver screen, and it is a testament to his |

| 28 | 28 | | talent and dedication that he was selected to depict such a |

| 29 | 29 | | legendary figure in sports history; now, therefore, be it |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
