| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Proud members of the Lone Star Chapter of the |

| 6 | 6 | | National Charity League in Rockwall are celebrating the 40th |

| 7 | 7 | | anniversary of their organization's founding on May 6, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The National Charity League is a nonprofit |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | organization that fosters mother-daughter relationships through an |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | ongoing commitment to philanthropy, culture, and leadership; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | encompassing 290 chapters and 200,000 members across 32 states, the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | organization helps strengthen family bonds while enabling mothers |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and daughters to participate in meaningful activities; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1983, the Lone Star Chapter was the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | first National Charity League chapter founded in Texas, and over |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the years, membership has grown to more than 300; the group supports |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | a variety of charitable organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of Northeast Texas, Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | County, Rockwall Animal Adoption Center, and the American Cancer |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Society; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Over the past four decades, the Lone Star Chapter of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the National Charity League has played a vital role in the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | community, and its members' willingness to give of their time and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | talents sets an outstanding example of civic engagement; now, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Lone |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Star Chapter of the National Charity League and extend to all those |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | associated with the organization sincere best wishes for the |
|---|
