| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Audrey La has ably served her fellow Texans as a |

| 6 | 6 | | policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through Baylor University's |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Bob Bullock Scholars Program, Ms. La has provided vital assistance |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in handling a wide variety of tasks, including monitoring |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | committees and helping to write memos and talking points for bills; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In 2019, Ms. La graduated magna cum laude from the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and at present, she is completing a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | psychology degree at Baylor through her studies in the Baylor |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Interdisciplinary Core Honors Program; actively involved in her |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | campus community, she has served as president of Baylor's IGNITE |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | National chapter, as a peer leader for the Department of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Multicultural Affairs, and as a photographer for the student |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | newspaper; following her graduation in May 2023, she plans to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | pursue a law degree; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Audrey La has performed her duties as a policy |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | analyst with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Audrey La for her service as a policy |
