55 WHEREAS, Captain Erick E. Erinna Sr. of the U.S. Army is being
66 honored for his leadership as company commander of the Houston
77 Medical Recruiting Station during his change of command ceremony on
88 June 9, 2023; and
99 WHEREAS, Captain Erinna will officially take on his new
1010 assignment as career manager at the Army Human Resources Command in
1111 Fort Knox, Kentucky, on June 26, 2023, bringing a wealth of
1212 experience from his current role as company commander; over the
1313 course of his two-year tenure, he has overseen targeted recruiting
1414 operations in three states, and he has supervised a team of 5
1515 officers, 18 noncommissioned officers, and 3 civilians; under his
1616 able leadership, the company has annually commissioned more than 70
1717 health care professionals in over 41 occupational specialties of
1818 the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserve; and
1919 WHEREAS, Prior to joining the Houston Medical Recruiting
2020 Company, Captain Erinna served as a deputy chief human resources
2121 officer for the 804th Medical Brigade in Massachusetts, a battalion
2222 adjutant for the 439th Multifunctional Medical Battalion in New
2323 Jersey, and a station officer in charge for the Army Medical
2424 Department in Oklahoma; his many military honors include a 2021
2525 General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, Recruiting Gold Badge,
2626 Recruiting Ring, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army
2727 Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Good
2828 Conduct Medal; and
2929 WHEREAS, Captain Erinna holds a bachelor's degree and a
3030 master's degree in business administration from Ashworth College in
3131 Norcross, Georgia; he plans to pursue a doctoral degree in
3232 business; and
3333 WHEREAS, Demonstrating an exceptional commitment to the
3434 mission of the U.S. Army, Captain Erick Erinna has greatly
3535 benefited his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride
3636 on his outstanding record of service as he takes on the challenges
3737 and opportunities of his new position; now, therefore, be it
3838 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
3939 Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Erick E. Erinna Sr. on his
4040 change of command and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
4141 future; and, be it further
4242 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4343 prepared for Captain Erinna as an expression of high regard by the
4444 Texas House of Representatives.
