 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Tammy Ruth Armbruster
 of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her death on December 31,
 2022, at the age of 56; and
 WHEREAS, Born in Belleville, Illinois, on January 13, 1966,
 Tammy Armbruster grew up with four brothers, Jim, Timothy, Terry,
 and Daniel, and two sisters, Trish and Tammy Beth; she graduated
 from Highland Park High School in Chicago in 1984 and went on to
 receive a degree in criminal justice with a minor in forensics from
 Savannah State College; and
 WHEREAS, Answering her nation's call to duty, Ms. Armbruster
 joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1986, and after
 five years, she entered active duty, serving in Okinawa, Japan, and
 Twentynine Palms, California; in 1996, she retired at the rank of
 sergeant with several honors, including the National Defense
 Service Medal, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, and a Sea Service
 Deployment Ribbon; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Armbruster enjoyed the love and support of her
 husband, Steve, and in the summer of 1996, the couple moved to the
 Austin area; she devoted herself full-time to her home and family,
 which grew to include two children, William and Tara; a woman of
 deep faith, she was an active congregant of House of the Lord
 Fellowship Church for more than 25 years, and she volunteered in the
 nursery, children's church, and bookstore and for Sunday classes
 and the church guardian program; she was also involved in Round Rock
 Home-Educators Offering Moms Encouragement, and she helped
 establish Vacation Liberty School of Georgetown, a summer camp
 program designed to teach children about the founding of our
 country; moreover, during several elections, she worked at a
 polling location and later at the Williamson County Early Voting
 Ballot Board; and
 WHEREAS, Although Tammy Armbruster will be greatly missed,
 those who were privileged to share in her love and friendship will
 forever treasure their memories of her dedication to her family, to
 her faith, and to her country; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Tammy Ruth Armbruster
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband, Steve Armbruster; to her son, William Armbruster; to her
 daughter, Tara Armbruster; to her brothers, Jim, Timothy, Terry,
 and Daniel; to her sisters, Trish and Tammy Beth; to her uncle,
 Michael; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tammy
 Armbruster.
