| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jason Cordoba received the 2022 Outstanding Man of |

| 6 | 6 | | the Year Award from the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce on March |

| 7 | 7 | | 8, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, An admired attorney, Mr. Cordoba has demonstrated a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | longtime commitment to giving back to the Brazosport community; he |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | is a member of the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce Executive |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Committee and is the vice chair of the Public Affairs Division; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | furthermore, he has served on the boards of numerous other |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organizations and institutions, including Heritage Bank, Lake |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Jackson EMS, the Brazoria County Dream Center, the Brazosport |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Symphony Orchestra, Southwest SIDS Research Institute, and Helping |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Hands and Hearts Hospice; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Cordoba graduated from Brazoswood High School, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and he went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | North Texas and a law degree from South Texas College of Law; in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 2016, he started his own practice, Cordoba Law Firm, PLLC., that |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | focuses on business and real estate transactions, as well as civil |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | litigation; he was honored as one of The Facts' Leaders Under 40 in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 2020, and the following year, he was inducted into the Brazoria |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | County Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Cordoba enjoys the love |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and support of his wife, Andrea, and their three children; during |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | his leisure hours, he likes to hunt, fish, and spend time with his |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | family; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Jason Cordoba has greatly benefited his fellow |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | citizens through his wide-ranging contributions to the community, |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | and he is indeed a deserving recipient of this prestigious honor; |

| 32 | 32 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
