| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Rhayne Trahan has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan joined the staff as a participant in the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Bob Bullock Scholars Program of Baylor University; during her time |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | at the State Capitol, she has provided vital assistance in handling |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | a wide variety of challenging tasks, including research and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | analysis of legislation relating to criminal justice, veterans |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | affairs, and the safety of individuals with intellectual and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | developmental disabilities; in addition to gaining valuable |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan is a student at Baylor University, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | she holds an associate's degree from McLennan Community College; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | she has previously served as a community assistant for American |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Campus Communities and as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Food for Families, and President Joe Biden's presidential campaign; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | in addition, she helped to establish an annual suicide prevention |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | awareness walk at Stephen F. Austin State University; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Trahan has performed her duties as a legislative |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby commend Rhayne Trahan for her service as a |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | her endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
