44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Dayleen Nicole Chery has ably served her fellow
66 Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
77 during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas
99 Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Chery has handled a wide
1010 variety of challenging tasks, including conducting research and
1111 analysis of legislation concerning business and industry,
1212 insurance, and economic development, and she provided important
1313 assistance to the House Committee on State Affairs; in addition to
1414 gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has
1515 learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
1616 citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1717 WHEREAS, A graduate of Sam Houston State University,
1818 Ms. Chery holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and
1919 psychology and a master's degree in victim services management; she
2020 is currently pursuing a juris doctor at the Southern University Law
2121 Center, and she has completed a fellowship with Texas RioGrande
2222 Legal Aid; and
2323 WHEREAS, Dayleen Chery has performed her duties as a
2424 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2525 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2626 be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commend Dayleen Nicole Chery for her service as
2929 a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris
3030 Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3131 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for Ms. Chery as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3434 House of Representatives.
