| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dayleen Nicole Chery has ably served her fellow |

| 6 | 6 | | Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Chery has handled a wide |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | variety of challenging tasks, including conducting research and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | analysis of legislation concerning business and industry, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | insurance, and economic development, and she provided important |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | assistance to the House Committee on State Affairs; in addition to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Sam Houston State University, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Ms. Chery holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | psychology and a master's degree in victim services management; she |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | is currently pursuing a juris doctor at the Southern University Law |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Center, and she has completed a fellowship with Texas RioGrande |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legal Aid; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Dayleen Chery has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 26 | 26 | | be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Dayleen Nicole Chery for her service as |

| 30 | 30 | | Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
